WEB ANALYST PROGRAMMER:
To specify the functional & technical requirements of new or enhanced web-based systems required. To project manage the development & implementation of new web-based systems. To provide ongoing technical support for users of web-based systems in QOC New (or enhanced) web-based systems specification. New & enhanced web-based systems are defined, designed, developed & implemented to meet user requirements Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years experience. New & enhanced web-based systems are defined, designed, developed & implemented to meet user requirements. Web-based systems development & enhancement projects are planned & managed effectively. Ongoing technical support is provided for users of web-based systems in QOC. Knowledge of policies and procedures applicable. Client awareness (basic knowledge of client department business). General business understanding Report-writing skills, Communications skills , Presentation skills, Targeted questioning / investigative skills, Business System Analysis, Business System Design, Technical Team Leading, .net; ASP.net; SQL; HTML/XML, At least one of the following:  VB, C# . Project Management qualification (Prince 2),  Full knowledge of all applications in use at QOC, Knowledge of QOC's business processes, as applicable to each project, Understanding of IT standard & development methodologies  .

WEB DEVELOPER:
Develops new or enhance web-based programs. Migrates data from old to new or enhanced web-based applications. Supports existing web-based applications.  Provide needed training for users of web-based applications. Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 4 years experience

APPLICATIONS ANALYST PROGRAMMER:
 To specify the functional & technical requirements of new or enhanced software applications required. To project manage the development & implementation of new software applications. To provide ongoing technical support for users of software applications in QOC        .Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years experience. Oracle Development Track (includes SQL, PL/SQL, Build Internet Forms, Build Reports) Project Management qualification (Prince 2). Full knowledge of all applications in use at QOC. A contribution is made with the Database Administrator towards designing database structures to support application requirements. A contribution is made (with Programmers) towards identifying interface requirements, and (with Data Base Administrator) towards identifying security control & backup needs.
 
APPLICATIONS DATA-BASE ADMINISTRATOR:
To anticipate & plan ahead for necessary interventions & projects to ensure stability of applications infrastructure. To provide expert maintenance & support input to ensure stability of applications infrastructure. Tasks required to ensure stability of applications database system & architecture (eg data cleansing, data uploads, etc) are defined. ERP applications & systems software upgrades & maintenance are planned in advance. Future system capacity requirements & upgrades based on ERP applications growth & usage are anticipated & planned for Backup & recovery schedules are planned. Disaster recovery plan for ERP system exists Subject matter expertise is provided for all ERP database-related activities. Backups policy & procedure is followed Backup recovery procedure of all applications & system software is documented & regularly tested. Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, plus 4 years experience, or Diploma in Computer Studies, plus 4 years relevant experience.. Full knowledge of ERP system in use at QOC, Project Management qualification (Prince 2), Full knowledge of all applications in use at QOC, Troubleshooting skills Database performance tuning skills, Oracle Certified Administrator , Oracle Certified Professional, Microsoft SQL Server
 
APPLICATIONS DEVELOPER:
Develops new or enhanced applications programs. Migrates data from old to new or enhanced applications. Supports existing applications. Software tools are applied to support software development, testing, use & reuse, & to manage implementation. A contribution is made (together with the Applications Analyst Programmer) towards preparing the user environment. Contingency testing procedures are prepared & implemented. Technical & user documentation is prepared. Detailed installation procedures & responsibilities are prepared. Data is migrated from old system to new systems. Data conversion activities are performed as needed. Software is enhanced to reduce operating time & improve efficiency. Ongoing support & maintenance of existing systems is provided. Problems are identified & enhancements suggested. Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years experience Accepted design techniques & CASE tools are used; positive feedback. Oracle Development Track (includes SQL, PL/SQL, Build Internet Forms, Build Reports)       
 
APPLICATIONS SPECIALIST: 
To optimise the performance of QOC's various applications. To lead various project teams and the project management process in order to establish and upgrade QOC's business applications. To provide quality assurance to QOC's business applications users through the development of, & adherance to, applicable standards. An effective contribution is made towards preparing technical terms of contract, tender specifications, & scopes of work. An effective contribution is made towards preparing technical & commercial evaluations of software/hardware bids. Accurate estimates are prepared for various projects (costs, timeline, risks, resources required, etc). Project proposal is documented & agreed. Project plan is prepared, resources allocated, & project timeline, milestones & deliverables identified Project objectives, scope & constraints are identified. Project teams are led, & projects are managed. Applications developed through projects are compliant with QOC standards. Quality assurance standards for client-server applications are developed & complied with. Periodic reports & statistics for all work parcels in the applications domain are compiled & distributed. Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years experience.

DATA-BASE ADMINISTRATOR        : Data elements for data processed in the systems are defined & created after receiving concepts from Systems Analyst. A contingency plan for data recovery exists & is periodically tested. Input towards budget preparation is provided. Cost vs budget are monitored. System storage is allocated & future storage requirements are planned for the database system. Database upgrades & fixes are planned in advance. Advance plans are in place for all downtime of the database due to such things as defragmentation, re-indexing & recovery. Database capacity upgrades are planned in advance. Appropriate scripts are created & appropriate tools are applied to enable data to be uploaded accurately between systems data. Performance of each database is optimised through constant monitoring & performance tuning (investigating causes & applying solutions). Evidence of effective co-ordination with DBMS software vendors regarding upgrades, changes or resolving operational problems. Database Server & application tools are installed & upgraded Sufficient controls are provided for data access by each application & end-user department & others. Appropriate data integrity rules are in place, and data is accurate. Database backups & security copies exist & are updated regularly as per procedures. Participation in Disaster Recovery team to ensure continuity of operations. Degree in Computer Engineering or Computer Science, plus 5 years experience. Oracle Certified Administrator, Oracle Certified Professional       

USER SUPPORT TECHNICIAN        
End-User (technical) support is provided to computer system users concerning the use of computer hardware and software, including printing, installation, word processing, electronic mail & operating systems, etc. Operating system, applications & network IT requests are troubleshot (level 1 support), diagnosed & solved (including hardware/software faults & technical problems), either over the phone or face-to-face or remote access. More serious problems are referred where necessary, to engineers (or to other specialists or vendors through Help Desk Administrator) New applications are supported. External support for applications (eg; push-mail services for Blackberry) is provided Participate in planned preventative maintenance implementation for hardware & software IT requests are updated online (log file), providing records of problems reported & diagnosed, actions taken

WEB SPECIALIST
 Degree in Computer Science or related field, plus 5 years experience. Full knowledge of web-based applications. Project Management qualification (Prince 2). Understanding of IT standard & development methodologies. Accurate estimates are prepared for various projects (costs, timeline, risks, resources required, etc). NETWORK ENGINEER
Bachelor Degree in Computing Science or Electrical Engineering, plus 4 years experience in network infrastructure & security systems, including operating & configuration, troubleshooting of LAN & WAN & WLAN hardware platforms, together with design & integration in multi-protocol environments. Experience in operating & configuring & troubleshooting Cisco networks & security systems such as firewalls & intrusion detection/protection. Cisco Certified Network Associate qualification. CCIPT track. Knowledge of applicable QOC IT SLA & KPI's         Project Management (Prince 2). ITIL Practitioner Certificate Participation in network, security & communications infrastructure implementation projects. Security measures are implemented in accordance with QOC policy A contribution is made towards developing capacity plans for the security, network & communications infrastructure. A contribution is made towards implementing capacity plans for the security & network infrastructure. Network, security & communications infrastructure is operational, maintained & configured correctly All communications lines are maintained, configured & operational. Problems associated with all network systems are resolved through effective troubleshooting First-level support is provided for internet connectivity, services & related issues All incidents & maintenance / troubleshooting action taken is recorded in an issue log & through Help Desk Application (BMC)

NETWORK TECHNICIAN
Secondary School Certificate plus 3 years experience, or Diploma in Computer Studies. Cisco Certified Network Associate qualification        . Cabling skills. Knowledge of applicable QOC IT SLA & KPI's . Knowledge of QOC's network infrastructure         ITIL Practitioner Certificate. Training in new network-related equipment. Full technical knowledge to support all network-related hardware & software troubleshooting required at QOC. International Computer Driver's Licence. Problems associated with network infrastructure are resolved satisfactorily through effective troubleshooting. Incidents & tickets created by Help Desk are followed-up and attended to Contractors and maintenance contracts are monitored to ensure that equipment at end-users level is fully connected. Up to date inventories of network hardware & software installed is maintained

SYSTEMS ADMINISTRATOR:
Bachelor Degree in Computing Science or Electrical Engineering, plus 3 years' post-graduate experience in computer hardware, software & operating systems technical support. MCSA. Understanding of IT technical standards & development methodologies. Knowledge of applicable
QOC IT SLA & KPI's. Project Management (Prince 2) ITIL Practitioner Certificate. Awareness of new systems. Data Centre system software, hardware & tools are received, evaluated, implemented & maintained. Recommendations are made for improvements of data centre hardware performance & capacity utilization based on statistics or vendor suggestions. System maintenance service schedules are applied, & service orders raised for data centre hardware & software. Recommendations are made, & security policy is applied in the user environment. Backup & recovery procedures are applied . Support is provided for Data Centre equipment operations. A contribution is made towards documenting, updating & applying configuration, toubleshooting procedures for all of QOC Data Centre equipment & systems. Second-level support is provided to QOC departments in respect of operating systems software & efficiency
