Monday, March 28, 2011 AN INTERNATIONAL CONSORTIUM FOR A ROADS CONSTRUCTION PROJECT IN OMAN REQUIRES QUALIFIED CANDIDATES FOR THE FOLLOWING POSITIONS:   PROJECT MANAGER •Civil Engineer, with minimum 15-20 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. •Experience in bridge structures, earthworks and rock blasting. •Must be able to interact with all levels of staff, management and client representatives.   CONSTRUCTION MANAGER •Civil Engineer, with minimum 15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. •Experience in bridge structures, earthworks and rock blasting.   ENGINEERING / TECHNICAL MANAGER •Civil Engineer, with minimum 15-20 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. •Experienced in road and bridge designs, sub-consultant coordination and delivery of shop drawings.   DESIGN ENGINEERS (CIVIL) •Civil Engineers for technical office to be involved in the design, preparation of shop drawings and documents for construction. •Experience in road projects will be considered a plus.   GEOLOGIST •Professional, with minimum 15-20 years experience in projects involving drilling and blasting, earthworks and slope protection along other activities. •Reporting to the Technical Manager, to provide assessment for design and site activities. Experience in GCC countries is required.   SR. PLANNING ENGINEER •Minimum 15 years experience, Civil Engineering graduate, with at least 7 years experience in infrastructure and roads project programming / planning. •Must have served the position of Lead Planner in a major project of this type. •Expertise in Primavera and MS Office is a prerequisite.   HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER   •Minimum 10 years experience, with at least 5 years in similar positions. •Reporting to the Administration Manager; experience in the GCC countries will be a plus.   PROJECT / COST CONTROL ENGINEER   •Minimum 15 years experience, Civil Engineering graduate, with at least 7 years experience in infrastructure and road projects scheduling, monitoring, controlling and budgeting. •Reporting directly to the Project Manager.   QA / QC MANAGER   •Civil Engineer and Lead Auditor in ISO 9001:2008, with minimum 15 years experience. Candidates with experience in a similar position for road projects will be preferred. •Responsible for the preparation and implementation of Quality Management System, adherence of works to project specifications, coordinating inspections, documents and reporting.   LABORATORY TECHNICIANS   •Minimum 7 years experience in related positions for infrastructure projects for any of the following fields: concrete, asphalt, earthworks •Responsible for carrying out and organizing laboratory testing and documenting of results.     HSE MANAGER   •Minimum 10 years experience, with 7 years as a professional in similar positions for road construction projects. •GCC countries experience required. General knowledge of applicable laws and regulations is required.   HSE OFFICERS   •Minimum 5 years experience in related positions. •GCC country experience required.   SITE ENGINEER - SECTION CHIEF   •Civil Engineer, with minimum 15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. •Experience required in earthworks and bridge structures. Reporting to the Construction Manager.   SITE ENGINEER - BRIDGE & CONCRETE WORKS Civil Engineer, with minimum 10-15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. Reporting to the Section Chief Engineer.   SITE ENGINEER - EARTHWORKS   Civil Engineer, with minimum 10-15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. Reporting to Section Chief Engineer.   SITE ENGINEER - ELECTRICAL Electrical Engineer, with minimum 10-15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. Reporting to the Section Chief Engineer.   SITE ENGINEER - ASPHALT WORKS Civil Engineer, with minimum 15 years experience having performed in similar positions for road projects in the GCC region. Reporting to the Section Chief Engineer.   CHIEF SURVEYOR   •Minimum 15 years experience, with at least 5 years as a Chief Surveyor or in supervisory positions for road construction projects. •Graduate from an accredited institution specializing in a relevant field of study.   SURVEYORS Minimum 7 years experience, with at least 4 years in similar positions for road construction projects. Reporting to the Chief Surveyor.   QUANTITY SURVEYORS Minimum 7 years experience, with at least 4 years in similar positions for road construction projects.   MECHANICAL WORKSHOP IN-CHARGE   •Minimum 10 years experience, with at least 5 years in similar positions. • Responsible for the maintenance of construction equipment and mechanical facilities. Reporting to the Project Manager.   CAD TECHNICIANS   •For the technical office, with experience in road projects. •To be involved in the design, preparation of shop drawings and documents for construction.   For all positions, fluency in written and spoken English is a must.
