TEMPORARY FLIGHT SECURITY OFFICER
Applicants will be responsible to prevent unlawful interference of company aircraft both at home base and at any other location world-wide and the safe and expeditious loading of VIP baggage and cargo, in accordance with the approved aircraft loading system. Other tasks include:
• Ensuring the safe handling and passage of any firearm and ammunition carried by, or accompanying passengers, with particular regard to the requirements of foreign authorities.
• Supervising the handling, security checking, loading of baggage and freight in accordance with approved weight and balance procedures, and the approved aircraft loading system.
• Liaison/Monitor other departments on security matters.
• Under supervision assist in the auditing of airports and maintenance checks with regard to security.
• Monitor all security concerning third party contractual services and recommend security improvements where necessary.
Applicants should have an Army/ Police/ Academic qualification with general aviation knowledge and Dangerous Goods/Mass/Balance will be an advantage. Please note that the position is a temporary contract for a period of 1 year.
